The Official Spotlight Lexington pin will go on sale July 1 at Thursday Night Live. They are only $5. Pins will go on sale in 25 area Kroger stores starting July 5. Don Jacobs will start selling pins on Tuesday, July 6.

Rules will be available online at www.spotlightlexky.com starting July 1. There is no purchase necessary to be entered into daily and grand prize drawings. There will be a registration box in the government center lobby for entries. Limited to one per person per day. However you don't receive all of the other wonderful benefits of the pin (Keeneland entry, discounts with businesses, coupons, etc if you don't purchase a pin).

April 1, 2010 —Don Jacobs is joining the Earth Day Celebration at Good Foods Co-op on Saturday, April 10. Good Foods will be hosting an early Earth Day Celebration at their Southland drive location from 11:00am to 2:00pm. In addition to healthy food, recycling and sustainability, Don Jacobs hopes to get attendees all revved up about the environmental benefits of hybrid vehicles.

Ready to recycle your old computer, TV or cell phone? Representatives from Global Environmental Services (GES) will also be on hand at Good Foods to accept your electronics for recycling. GES accepts computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, modems, hubs, routers, scanners, copiers, cell phones, and other miscellaneous components. There is a nominal fee to cover the processing of glass tube monitors and televisions ($5 for monitors and $10-$50 for televisions, based on size). For every recyclable donated, you can receive 1 raffle ticket for a chance to win a personal computer from GES!

December 14, 2009 —Man’s best friend is going to feel right at home in a Honda Element! Over the next month, Don Jacobs will be filling a Honda Element with canned pet food donations for the Lexington Humane Society’s “Paws for a Cause” food drive. Don Jacobs is teaming up with the Lexington Firefighters this holiday season to collect toys for their annual Firefighters Toy Program.
