Don Jacobs Volkwagen Supports Lake Cumberland Volkswagen Jamboree

October 1, 2009 —Don Jacobs Volkswagen will be displaying cars at the Lake Cumberland Volkswagen Jamboree, the annual Volkswagen car show organized by the Central Kentucky VW Club. This year’s show will take place at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, KY on Saturday, October 10 from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Don Jacobs will be displaying new Volkswagen models, while local owners will show off new and vintage VW models for all to enjoy. The event is open to the public and will feature games and door prizes for kids and adults. And be sure to test drive a new VW from Don Jacobs from 1:00pm to 6:00pm!

Don Jacobs hits the streets for prize giveaways

July, 2009—Don Jacobs has partnered with a number of organizations in the Lexington community this summer to support a wide range of events. To show their support at events like Free Friday Flicks, Thursday Night Live and others, Don Jacobs sends out a Street Team to show off DJ vehicles, give away free stuff and raffle off cool prizes!

Don Jacobs Honda teams up with Urban Active
for "Fit" Give-Away

February 2009 — Don Jacobs Honda partnered with Urban Active Fitness Clubs for the club's nation-wide membership drive.

Urban Active members were asked to refer five friends for a chance to win a 2008 Honda Fit, provided to the club (at a substantial discount) by Don Jacobs Honda, of Lexington, KY. Member's entered the contest by:

• Taking a personal trainer orientation - three entries.
• Refering a friend or bringing a friend - one entry for each friend
• Signing up and try a new group fitness class - one entry
• With any retail purchase - one entry.
• Purchase of a Smoothie or bottled water - one entry.
• Bringing a toy for the Urban Active toy drive - one entry

All finalists (one per club) received a 12-month Urban Active membership and a chance to win the Honda Fit.

Amanda Bardo was announced the winner on February 3rd.

"Vote & Win" ad click nets Lexington woman $450 prize

Shelli Baker of Lexington was recently awarded the "Vote & Win" prize package at Don Jacobs. Shelli visited Kentucky.com on election day, November 4th, 2008, and noticed the Don Jacobs "Vote&Win" banner ad at the top of the home page. When Shelli clicked the banner, it revealed Don Jacobs' "Vote & Win" campaign, where contest entrants were asked to vote for their favorite "candidate."

Candidate choices included the "liberal fun" Volkswagen Tiguan, the "conservative mileage" Honda Civic Hybrid, and the "independent suspension" BMW 328i Sedan.

The race was exciting, with an almost equal distribution of votes, but the Honda Civic Hybrid edged out the competition, winning the "election" with 38.1% of the ballots.

Shelli received the prize package worth $450, which included a $250 gas card and certificates for a FREE interior and exterior detailing and oil change at Don Jacobs.
